The Section of Oral Pathology investigates and teaches the causes, processes and effects of oral and maxillofacial diseases; applies and integrates the basic sciences into clinical dentistry; provides microscopic interpretation and reporting on tissues submitted for diagnosis; consults and advises on the management of diseases; and interacts with other health care providers at UCLA and throughout the state and nation.
