| The Section of Removable Prosthodontics has the responsibility of providing the didactic, preclinical and clinical teaching to students in the undergraduate predoctoral program, and maintaining ADA accreditation for these programs.
Teaching Programs
Predoctoral
The broad objective of the program is to instruct students via the classroom, laboratory, and clinic in the science of restoring partially and completely edentulous patients. Emphasis is on preservation of the remaining oral structures. Principles and methods are based on physiological and psychological considerations.

Research Activities
Members of the section maintain active research programs in a broad range of topics conducted within the Weintraub Center for Reconstructive Biotechnology.

Patient Care
The Section provides patient care in removable prosthodontics. This is performed by predoctoral dental students under the supervision of removable faculty. If you are interested in making an appointment, please contact (310) 206-3904.

Development
Section members participate in an ongoing development activities to support research efforts in the Weintraub Center for Reconstructive Biotechnology.

Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteer faculty are vital to the successful preclinical, clinical, and postgraduate teaching activities of the Section. The Section has a number of volunteer faculty who have given their valuable time unselfishly to our Section's teaching activities. The clinical expertise and private office experience they bring to the Section are invaluable.
