Dr. Goldstein spent most of his past as a partner in the dental practice management consulting firm of Barron and Goldstein: limited to dentistry for general practitioners and specialties. In 2001 he became course director for Practice Management, a 4th year course and in 2005 was appointed as the Director of the Clinical Dental Center.
Research/Creative Activities/Honors
Dr. Goldstein is a Council Consultant for the Council on Dental Practice with the American Dental Association. In 1997 he was the dental management advisor to the Associate Dean of Dental Clinical Affairs at UCLA. He was a Lecturer at the UCLA School of Dentistry from 1997- 2000 when he became an adjunct Assistant Professor. In 2005 Dr. Goldstein was appointed to the position that he holds today: Director of the Clinical Dental Center.
Patient Care Activities
Dr. Goldstein is not involved in direct patient care but his responsibilities include the daily operation of the predoctoral clinic with financial oversight for most of the post graduate in Westwood and Venice. The goal, is to make the clinic as patient centered as possible while constantly striving to improve the quality of the dental students’ educational experience.
Courses Taught
Dr. Goldstein teaches Patient Management to 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th year predoctoral students and Practice Management to 4th year students. Additionally, Dr. Goldstein teaches a two quarter course: Practice Management for Residents.

While Dr. Goldstein was an active partner in Barron and Goldstein he published over two dozen articles on dental practice management in dental publications nationally and internationally and presented various dental practice management programs and seminars to national, state, and local dental associations and societies throughout the country including dental schools.
