Dr. Mito is associate dean for clinical dental sciences and professor of clinical dentistry at the UCLA School of Dentistry. He joined the dental school faculty in 1977.

Research/Creative Activities/Honors

Dr. Mito’s research focuses on postdoctoral general dentistry training and biomaterials sciences.

Dr. Mito served as a technical consultant for CSI-Las Vegas and Desperate Housewives

Dr. Mito received an American Dental Education Association, Presidential Citation for leadership in primary care. He was appointed by Secretary of Health and Human Services, Donna Shalala to the first Advisory Board on training in primary care medicine and dentistry. Dr. Mito was appointed by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to the Dental Board of California.
