About the Apollonian Society

Drs. Mito and RauthRonald S. Mito, DDS '76 and Thomas J. Rauth, DDS '73

Co-Chairs, Apollonian Society

In 2004 the UCLA School of Dentistry’s Apollonian annual fund was transformed into the membership-based Apollonian Society, which is dedicated to enhancing the student experience.  Since this transformation, the Apollonian Society has made great strides, funding innovative projects, strengthening morale among students and collectively contributing over $1.7 million to the School of Dentistry.

While our progress has been significant, we have much yet to accomplish. Educational expenses at UCLA have continued to rise while state and federal funding have declined, meaning that the school increasingly relies upon private gifts to provide the resources and opportunities that contribute to an outstanding student experience.

As alumni and dedicated oral health professionals, we can play a role in ensuring that today’s dental students become the future devoted practitioners of dentistry. Motivated, satisfied students appreciate and support the school and the profession, ensuring that the UCLA School of Dentistry continues to reflect favorably on all of us.

Give Online Membership in the Apollonian Society is open to all friends of the UCLA School of Dentistry–alumni, faculty members, residency program graduates, professional colleagues, and anyone else who has an interest in advancing oral health education.  By becoming a member, you are making a commitment to improving the dental student experience and showing your support of UCLA, one of the finest public universities in the world.  Please consider joining the Apollonian Society or renewing your support today.
