Dr. Shin’s laboratory is interested in understanding (1) the roles of DNA damage and DNA repair activity in oral carcinogenesis, (2) the molecular determinant(s) responsible for accuracy of DNA repair, and (3) the molecular mechanism of senescence of normal human oral keratinocytes.
