Cun-Yu Wang Receives the 2013 IADR Distinguished Scientist Award in Basic Research in Biological Mineralization
The International Association for Dental Research (IADR) has announced that Cun-Yu Wang is the recipient of the 2013 IADR Distinguished Scientist Award in Basic Research in Biological Mineralization. He was recognized at the Association’s 91th General Session & Exhibition in Seattle, Washington on Wednesday, March 20. This meeting will be held in conjunction with the 42nd Annual Meeting of the American Association for Dental Research and the 37th Annual Meeting of the Canadian Association for Dental Research.
Wang is Professor and Chair of the Department of Oral Biology and Medicine and Associate Dean for Graduate Studies at the School of Dentistry. He earned his D.D.S. degree and certificate in pediatric dentistry from Peking University, China, his Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, and he conducted postdoctoral studies at The Forsyth Institute, Cambridge in Massachusetts. Wang was previously a professor in the Department of Biologic and Materials Sciences at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry.
