Annual Alumni Events - Saturday, April 13, 2013
Join fellow UCLA School of Dentistry alumni members, faculty, and students for the Annual Alumni Events to be held on Saturday, April 13, 2013. This year’s events will be held at the Hilton Anaheim Hotel in conjunction with the CDA Spring Scientific Session. Please note the location change from the Marriott to the Hilton.
Annual Alumni Reunion & Awards Luncheon – 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
|This event is free-of-charge to UCLA School of Dentistry alumni, faculty, staff, and current dental students. Guests are $40.
We will be honoring our Alumnus of the Year, Greg Prince ’73, our Honorary Alumnus of the Year, Fermin Carranza, and the reunion classes of 1968, 1973, 1978, 1983, 1988, 2003 and 2008.

The reception will follow the luncheon. Alumni and friends are invited to join Dean No-Hee Park for hors d'oeuvres and cocktails.

Free Practice Management Course – Saturday, March 16, 2013
This is a special course for School of Dentistry Alumni. The course will be held at the Hotel Angelino, located at 170 N. Church Lane, Los Angeles 90049.
A light breakfast will be served. For those coming from out of the area, the hotel is offering reduced rates.
The day’s schedule is as follows:
9 a.m. – Noon – Lecture by the Scheduling Institute
Noon – 1 p.m. – Lunch
1 p.m. – 5 pm – Lecture by the California Employers Association

Alumnus Promotes Good Oral Health
Alumnus, Dr. Jaclyn Pak, was featured on a morning news show in Honolulu, Hawaii, promoting the importance of good oral health for children and adults. Dr. Pak shared tips about keeping on top of oral hygiene. Dr. Pak is currently a General Practice Resident at the Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu, the leading medical referral center in the Pacific Basin. Dr. Pak graduated with the DDS Class of 2012 and also received her MS in Oral Biology from the School of Dentistry.

In addition to her appearance on the morning news station, Dr. Pak co-authored two systematic reviews in the Journal of Endodontics with Dr. Shane White, Professor in the Section of Endodontics.
