Dental school celebrates 44th commencement

On Sunday, June 5, 2011, faculty and staff conducted the UCLA School of Dentistry’s 44th commencement ceremony. The doctor of dental surgery degree was awarded to 97 candidates. In addition, the school conferred 15 master's degrees and one Ph.D. degree in oral biology and granted 50 certificates to individuals who completed training programs in general dentistry and dental specialties.

Relive the day the dental school broke new ground for the renovation and expansion of the Wilson-Jennings-Bloomfield UCLA Venice Dental Center.

Faculty, residents and predoctoral students conduct more than 9,000 patient visits at the refurbished Venice clinic each year. Services included general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, orthodontics and oral surgery.
