Health Sciences Assistant Clinical Professor in Restorative Dentistry

The UCLA School of Dentistry invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track Health Sciences Clinical Professor position at the Assistant level in the Section of Restorative Dentistry, Division of Constitutive and Regenerative Sciences, beginning September 1, 2018.

The selected individual shall serve in the UCLA Dental Clinics as a dental student Group Practice Director. Responsibilities include the management of dental student comprehensive patient care teams including coaching students in the delivery of dental care, assessment and evaluation of student progress, assisting students in managing patients, and participating in academic/administrative/logistical matters related to the education of dental student. The incumbent is also expected to participate in activities related to curriculum development, clinic operations, didactic course delivery, and moderate small group educational discussion with students and other faculty members. The selected individual will be part of the Dental School Compensation Plan. S/he will have one working day per week (20%) to pursue other scholarly activities and/or to practice dentistry.

A DDS degree or equivalent and a current California dental license are required plus experience in private practice, teaching in both lecture and small group formats, and/or administration is preferred.
