Postdoc Position (Fusobacterium nucleatum)

A full-time postdoctoral position is immediately available in the Ton-That laboratory at the UCLA School of Dentistry, A successful candidate will investigate the mechanisms of virulence in Fusobacterium nucleatum, a Gram-negative anaerobe that is linked to periodontitis, preterm birth and colon cancer.
Candidates should have a strong background in microbiology and molecular biology. Experience with outer membrane vesicles and bacterial pathogenesis is preferred. Candidate must have a recent PhD degree in the field of biomedical sciences with an excellent record of publications. Salary is commensurate with experience. Initial appointment is one year, and continued employment is contingent upon candidate’s performance and availability of funding.
