Message from the Chairs

Dear Alumni and Friends,

Through the Apollonian Society and your efforts, we have raised more than $2 million to enhance the dental student experience. These funds have been used to make a lasting positive impact on the day to day lives of our young colleagues. The UCLA School of Dentistry is thriving, but much of our funding is restricted and therefore limits how these funds can be used. The Apollonian Society provides a source of funds for the School so that we can act quickly to support the greatest needs of our students. This in-turn strengthens the value of our education and the reputation of the School.

While our progress has been significant, we have much to accomplish. Educational expenses at UCLA have continued to rise while state and federal funding have declined, meaning that the School increasingly relies upon private gifts to provide the resources and opportunities that contribute to an outstanding student experience.

As alumni and dedicated oral health professionals, we can play a role in ensuring that today’s dental students become the future devoted practitioners of dentistry. Motivated, satisfied students appreciate and support the School and the profession, ensuring that the UCLA School of Dentistry continues to reflect favorably on all of us.

Every gift is important and represents an investment in the future of the oral health care profession. Join the Apollonian Society today to give back to one of the best dental schools in the country.

Sincerely,
