Expanding Oral Health to Individuals with Disabilities

The Oral Health Collaborative Consortium (OHCC) and UCLA School of Dentistry invite you to join a webinar on best practices and solutions to address oral health care for individuals with disabilities and medically complex health conditions

Individuals with disabilities face exacerbated challenges in accessing adequate oral health care. Though the American Dental Association (ADA) recently revised its code of conduct in 2019 to prohibit denial of care to individuals with disabilities, many face months and even years of wait times.

In this webinar, you will learn to:

  • Describe the importance of expanding dental services and procedures for individuals with disabilities

  • Assess the different levels of care for individuals with disabilities and recommendations on anesthetic procedures for those levels

  • Learn desensitization/sensory best practices that general dentists can utilize for mild/moderate cases without specialized equipment

  • Navigate oral health referrals for individuals with disabilities in Southern California

Participants will receive 1.5 Free CE Credit

Featured Speakers:

Vice Chair - Division of Advanced Prosthodontics, Chair - Special Patient Care, UCPLA Endowed Chair - Special Patient Care at UCLA School of Dentistry

Medical Director and Chief of Dental Services at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center
