Admissions & Applying

Requirements for admission to the Advanced Education General Dentistry program at the UCLA Venice Dental Center are the following:

  • Proof of your status as a US citizen, US permanent resident, Canadian citizen or your status as an H-1B visa holder, and your eligibility to work in the United States*

  • DDS/DMD from a CODA-accredited program

  • National Board Dental Examination, Parts I and II (Official copies of scores must be emailed to: postdds@dentistry.ucla.edu.)

  • ADAT (Advanced Dental Admissions Test) score will be considered for admission. It is strongly recommended but not required.

Application Process

  • Submit primary and supplemental materials through the Postdoctoral Application Support Service (PASS), including at least four (4) Professional Evaluation Forms and one (1) Institutional Evaluation Form, undergraduate transcripts and dental transcripts.

  • Participate in the Postdoctoral Dental Matching Program (Match) for AEGD programs.

  • All desired application materials should be submitted through the PASS website. Supplemental materials sent to the program are not reviewed.

Incomplete files will not be considered.

PASS Application Deadline: October 16

*Before the start of the program, residents must verify and provide proof of authorization to work and study in the United States. Failure to obtain or maintain all necessary visas, licenses, and permits and/or to maintain eligibility to work in the United States shall result in automatic suspension and may result in dismissal. Verification of the aforementioned must be received by June 1, 2017, for US citizens, US permanent residents, and H-1B visa holders, and by June 21, 2017, for those Canadian citizens applying for TN status, or acceptance may be withdrawn.
