CODA Graduates

Requirements for admission to the Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology Postgraduate Training program for graduates of CODA accredited dental schools (U.S. or Canada) are the following:

  • Proof of your status as a US citizen, US permanent resident, Canadian citizen with permanent resident status in the US and your eligibility to work in the United States*

  • DDS/DMD from an ADA-accredited program

  • National Board Dental Examination, Part I (Official copies of scores must be emailed to:

Selection Process

Selected candidates will be invited to interview. If you have been selected, you will be notified by telephone and/or email.

The admissions committee considers the following criteria in its decisions:

  • Academic achievement

  • Leadership activities

  • Research experience

  • Teaching experience

  • Demonstrated interest in oral and maxillofacial radiology

This program does not participate in the Postdoctoral Dental Matching Service. Accepted candidates are notified by telephone. A letter of acceptance signed by the Program Director and Associate Dean for Academic Programs and Personnel will be issued upon acceptance.

*Before the start of the program, residents must verify and provide proof of authorization to work and study in the United States. Failure to obtain or maintain all necessary visas, licenses, and permits and/or to maintain eligibility to work in the United States shall result in automatic suspension and may result in dismissal. Verification of the aforementioned must be received by June 1, 2020, for US citizens, US permanent residents, and H-1B visa holders, and by June 21, 2020, for those Canadian citizens applying for TN status, or acceptance may be withdrawn.
