Admissions & Applying

Requirements for admission to the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Postgraduate Training program are the following:

  • DDS/DMD from an ADA-accredited dental school in the US (and Canada)

  • Comprehensive Basic Science Examination (CBSE)

  • National Board Dental Examination, Part 1(Official copies of scores must be uploaded to PASS.)

  • Proof of your status as a US citizen and/or US permanent resident, and your eligibility to work in the United States*

  • Only graduates of ADA (CODA) accredited United States or Canadian dental schools are elgibile to apply. Only US citizens or students in the above group with permanent residence status are elgible for this program.                                                    
  • Graduates of foreign dental schools are not eliglble for this residency program.

Application Process

Applicants are responsible for ensuring that all materials are received. If an applicant with an incomplete file has sufficient merit based on the materials received to qualify for an interview, a conditional interview will be granted, contingent upon missing materials being received and the applicant still being deemed acceptable for an interview by the admissions committee.

No incomplete applications will be accepted.

PASS Application Deadline: October 1

*Before the start of the program, incoming residents must verify and provide proof of authorization to work and study in the United States if they have permanent residence status.
