Admissions & Applying

Requirements for admission to the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Intern program are the following:

  • DDS/DMD from an ADA-accredited program

  • Comprehensive Basic Science Examination (CBSE)

  • National Board Dental Examination, Part 1(Official copies of scores must be emailed to: postdds@dentistry.ucla.edu.)

  • Proof of your status as a US citizen, US permanent resident, Canadian citizen or your status as an H-1B visa holder, and your eligibility to work in the United States*

Application Process

Applicants are responsible for ensuring that all materials are received. If an applicant with an incomplete file has sufficient merit based on the materials received to qualify for an interview, a conditional interview will be granted, contingent upon missing materials being received and the applicant still being deemed acceptable for an interview by the admissions committee.

Incomplete files will not be considered.

Deadline

Application Deadline: February 6

Match results will be released on January 31, 2017 after which we will start looking for all non-MATCH applicants that have applied for the Internship through PASS. You should make sure that all your application materials are complete If you applied to the UCLA OMS Residency Program on PASS, please contact PASS for instructions

*Before the start of the program, residents must verify and provide proof of authorization to work and study in the United States. Failure to obtain or maintain all necessary visas, licenses, and permits and/or to maintain eligibility to work in the United States shall result in automatic suspension and may result in dismissal. Verification of the aforementioned must be received by June 1, 2017, for US citizens, US permanent residents, and H-1B visa holders, and by June 21, 2017, for those Canadian citizens applying for TN status, or acceptance may be withdrawn.
