This full day symposium will present various lectures on endodontic topics, including conventional endodontic instrumentation, endodontic microsurgeries, regenerative endodontic therapies, and endodontic treatment outcomes. This is the second International Endodontic Symposium after the first inaugural symposium in Seoul, Korea in 2016, in conjunction with the International Association for Dental Research (IADR) meeting. The speakers are notable academic leaders in the major dental schools in the U.S. and South Korea, including UCLA, UPENN, Yonsei University, and Seoul National University.  The symposium will also host a keynote speaker, Dr. Syngcuk Kim, Associate Dean for Global Affairs and Advanced Dental Education, Penn Dental Medicine.  The symposium is designed for dental students, residents, and outside general practitioners, as well as academic endodontists and endodontic practitioners alike.

Learning Objectives

Attendee will learn the following:

  • Endodontic instrumentation using 3-dimensional shaping approaches
  • Safe, predictable, and efficient use of NiTi rotary file systems
  • Restorative aspects of endodontically treated teeth
  • Prognostic aspects of traumatic dental injuries
  • Intentional replantation and auto-transplantation as viable endodontic therapies
  • Endodontic vs. implants considerations
  • Incorporation of lasers in endodontic therapiesUpdates on regenerative endodontic therapies and future prospects
