Q: What is the success rate of this program?
A: This program has proven to be a success, of the 40 students who have completed the program since 2003, 30 students have gone onto attend dental school.
Q: How many students do you accept?
A: The program accepts two students per cycle, with plans to expand the program.
Q: What fees are associated with the UCLA Dental Post-Baccalaureate Program (e.g., application, tuition, and housing)?
A: Since this program targets disadvantaged students there is no application fee. Courses, books, parking along and a quarterly stipend are provided for students during the course of the program. The only cost our program does not cover is housing.
Q: Are students allowed to work during the program?
A: Students are not allowed to work over the duration of the program.
Q: Are applications reviewed on a rolling basis?
A: We do not employ a rolling admissions process so all applications are reviewed at the same time.
Q: What is the average DAT score of a potential applicant?
A: Actually, we do NOT require an applicant to have applied to dental school or have taken the DAT prior to applying to the UCLA Dental Post-Baccalaureate Program.
