Come learn surgical and prosthodontic implant dentistry at UCLA. We have recruited leading clinicians and educators from UCLA and around the world to bring you the finest in hands-on implant training. This course is composed of 6 modules, 4 days each for a total of 24 days. Each module will feature in -depth lectures, intense hands-on workshops, live surgical demonstrations, and patient treatment. This course is designed for clinicians looking to place and restore implants.  Extensive time is spent in surgery and patient treatment.

Workshop Exercises 
  • Fundamental Surgical Techniques: incisions, flap design, and suturing
  • Graft Techniques: sinus augmentation (direct and indirect), CT harvesting and placement, and use of particulate graft materials
  • Implant placement: using various systems and implant designs on models, pig jaws and patients*  
  • Prosthetic techniques: radiographic / surgical guides, impressions, abutment selection and design, fabrication of provisional restorations  
  • CBCT analysis and use of digital treatment planning software
  • “All-on-4® Treatment concept” implant placement and denture conversion
*Patient Treatment 
  • Open to CA licensed dentists enrolled in entire program    (Non CA residents inquire for further details)
  • Must have proof of malpractice coverage
  • Treatment will be performed with direct faculty assistance
