Dean Krebsbach:

You were recently elected as the National Video Productions Manager at ASDA's Annual Session Conference in Anaheim. Would you tell us more about the process?

Kevin:
The application process included a series of essays and submission of videos. Making videos has been a developing hobby of mine. The process was fun and I’m happy to represent UCLA Dentistry at the national level for ASDA.

Dean Krebsbach:
That sounds like a fun hobby. What new projects have you been working on?

Kevin:
I really had fun preparing a video documenting a mission trip to Ensenada, Mexico. I tried a more cinematic approach as I highlighted the wonderful staff and doctors helping less fortunate people.
Dean Krebsbach:
That is fantastic. Is taking on Hollywood the next step for you?

Kevin:
LOL. I don’t think that’s in the cards.

Dean Krebsbach:
Why did you choose UCLA for dental school?

Kevin:
I grew up in the Bay Area and attended college at UCSB. My mentor and health sciences advisor was Dr. Stephen Blain, a former faculty member from UCLA School of Dentistry. I knew that if the rest of the faculty were anything like Dr. Blain, UCLA would be an incredible place. I kept migrating south, and I think it’s safe to say that I’m a true SoCal guy now.

Dean Krebsbach:
What do you like most about UCLA Dentistry?

Kevin:
I really like my classmates. We work hard, support each other, and have fun.

Dean Krebsbach:

Enjoy your time at UCLA. The next two years will go by quickly.
