Welcome to Dr. Wayne Ozaki, Health Sciences Clinical Professor, as the new Chair of Section of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMS) and Chief of Dental Services at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. Dr. Ozaki is board-certified in both oral and maxillofacial surgery and plastic surgery, and specializes in pediatric plastic, craniofacial, oral and maxillofacial, and cosmetic surgery.

Dr. Ozaki is no stranger to UCLA. For the past seven years, he has served, and will continue to serve, as Chief of Pediatric Plastic and Craniofacial Surgery at UCLA Health. In addition, he will continue to serve as Chief of Plastic Surgery at Olive View-UCLA Medical Center and participate in the care of craniofacial patients at California Hospital and White Memorial Hospital.

Prior to UCLA Health and a brief period in private practice, Dr. Ozaki served as Chief of Pediatric Plastic and Craniofacial Surgery at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, which is part of Oregon Health and Sciences University (OHSU). He was also an Associate Professor of Plastic Surgery at OHSU for nearly seven years.

Dr. Ozaki completed his DDS degree at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC and his OMS certificate and MD degree at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He went onto complete a residency program in plastic surgery at the University of Michigan and a craniofacial surgery fellowship at UCLA. He is a member of the American Association of Plastic Surgeons and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

We welcome Dr. Ozaki to our team and look forward to his contributions in helping to expand our oral and craniofacial services and research.
