Biography

Dr. Wayne Ozaki is the Chair of the Section of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Health Sciences Clinical Professor in the Division of Diagnostic and Surgical Sciences at the UCLA School of Dentistry. He also serves as the Chief of Dental Services at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center.

Research & Interests

Microbiology/Dental Research (9/85 to 6/88) 

  • This research involved the study of bacterial aggregation (specifically S. mutans) when placed in various ion substrates and the effects of saliva in inhibiting bacterial aggregation.
  • he research further includes the analysis of saliva samples from patients at Children's Hospital in Los Angeles, California. Through gel electrophoresis, we were attempting to determine the protein content and concentration in saliva samples.
