Biography

Dr. Chung is a Clinical Professor at the UCLA School of Dentistry. She specializes in treatment of special needs, immunocompromised, dental phobic and geriatric patients.

Recenty, Dr. Chung has been involved in community service – participating in dental missions in Peru and Fiji. She has also been involved with Ticket to Smile, a dental care program under which faculty and students of the school will provide dental education, hygiene, and preventive services to residents of The Salvation Army.

During the past year, Dr. Chung served as a mentor for the new Special Needs Committee at the UCLA School of Dentistry. Along with her colleague, Dr. Kelly Pierson, Dr. Chung has worked with dental students interested in treating special needs patients. The two have visited regional centers where students provided oral hygiene instructions to the patients and their caregivers and have held noontime seminars about various special need topics to the dental students.
