Ways to Get Involved

There are many ways to get involved with the UCLA School of Dentistry. Whether you are an alumni, a donor, a community leader, or a dental professional, and wish to make an impact at one of the leading dental schools in the country, please contact us to see where you fit in.

  • Volunteer Faculty

Volunteer faculty members play critical roles in the training of predoctoral students and resident dentists. These are individuals who are licensed dentists interested in making an impact on future dental professionals in the field. To inquire about becoming a member of our volunteer faculty, please contact the academic division where you would like to volunteer your time.

  • Dinner with Twelve Dental Students

Beginning in the summer of 2013, the School of Dentistry began coordinating mini-events, coined "Dinner For 12 Dental Students". These events are modeled after the award winning “Dinner for 12 Strangers” program that the UCLA Main Campus has hosted since 1968, which brings together alumni, faculty and students from all generations to enjoy good food and great conversation.

Our dental students wanted to create a similar opportunity to be able to connect with School of Dentistry alumni and faculty in a more personal, relazed environment. The hope is to make "Dinner For 12 Dental Students" an annual tradition. If you are an alumni member or faculty member and would like to host or attend a dinner, please contact Dr. Carol Bibb at cbibb@dentistry.ucla.edu.

  • Board of Counselors & Fundraising Boards

As a member of the UCLA School of Dentistry’s Board of Counselors or one of its many Fundraising Boards, you will help further the core mission of the School through fundraising, volunteer leadership, facilitating partnerships and providing counsel. Board Members of the School act as an effective group of engaged, committed, and organized leaders. As a Board Member, you will be joining other committed individuals in working toward the success of the School, serving as policy makers, ambassadors, philanthropists and advocates of the UCLA School of Dentistry.

Serving on the Board of Counselors or on a Fundraising Board, you will enjoy a rewarding donor and volunteer experience with an institution known as being a world leader in dental education, research, patient care and community service.
